This is an incubator for ideas which can transform the financial system, for the benefit of the poor. Alice is the Independent Member of the Committee that oversees this fund. Projects that it has incubated include the ILX Fund, designed to enable European pension funds to invest alongside development finance institutions in infrastructure projects in low income countries. This fund, launched in January 2020, is expected to have a significant effect on financial flows to infrastructure that can help meet the Sustainable Development Goals. Other projects include an initiative to help low income people in South Africa to save for the future without incurring excessive bank charges or leaving their savings in insecure places.
