Alice is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Schroder BSC Social Impact Trust plc. A partnership between Schroders and Big Society Capital, this investment trust has a portfolio of assets in social housing, social outcomes contracts and loans to social enterprises. This unique investment vehicle will help to demonstrate to the market how investors – both institutional and retail - can allocate capital to solving some of society’s most deep-rooted social problems. For example, the fund invests in social housing to address homelessness, keep children with their families and protect people from domestic abuse. The Trust also has a sustainable return and a low correlation with traditional financial and public markets.
